chancho / solo exhibition & book launch
spring 2025 / paris, france
Joaquim Chancho, born in Tarragona in 1943, is a leading figure in Spanish abstraction, known for his minimalist, geometric works that have spanned over five decades. His early investigations focused on geometry, composition, and tonal relationships, eventually leading to his hallmark use of black and white, horizontal and vertical lines, and calligraphic sequences. Chancho’s art balances rigorous abstraction with suggestive, relatable visual impressions, exploring the conceptual and emotional potential of non-figurative language. His work is included in major international collections, including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, MACBA in Barcelona, and the Fundación Juan March in Madrid.

GABRIEL bødker
SPRING 2023 / PARIS,FRANCE
Richeldis Fine Art presents a new collection of paintings by Nigerian/Danish painter Gabriel J. Bødker (b.1997). Bødker’s unique soak-stained paintings have earned him recognition on the European emerging art scene. The artist’s early involvement in technical production for music events and raves led him to work in the Australian outback as a technician for geophysical surveys. The stark, life-scarce landscapes he encountered, coupled with the solitude and the digital disconnect, steered him towards painting. A self-taught abstract artist, Bødker’s works are not mere depictions of the outback but interpretations of landscapes and the impact of his experience of feeling redundant in terms of being human in such surroundings. 31 Rue de l’Université, 75007 Paris, France

teague and tsioris ’Line languages'
SPRING 2022 / london, united kingdom
Richeldis Fine Art and Encounter are delighted to present ‘Line Languages’ a dual exhibition of acclaimed international artists Alexi Tsioris (Athens, 1982) and Struan Teague (Edinburgh, 1991) opening on Wednesday 23rd of February. At the core of the show is a reflection on the act of drawing as a central strategy for painting, a mutual sensibility for its rhythms and slippages, directness and vulnerability. Through experimental processes of making and formal invention, both Tsioris and Teague place emphasis on the linear as a fundamental vernacular in their works. The directness of automatist mark making is for both artists a fertile ground for creative exploration. As such, line functions as a key foundational support within the architecture of their works. Echoing the discovery of an archaeological site first brought to light, the artists’ layered canvases also invite a process of unearthing through close observation.
